Wild Video Shows Man Throwing Brick at NYC Gay Bar Window, 4th Attack This Week

Surveillance video captured a New York City man creeping along the sidewalk carrying a brick. He then hurled the brick at a gay bar located in Hell’s Kitchen, and police are looking for the public’s help in identifying him.

No one was harmed in the incident, perhaps because the club’s owner, David DeParolesa, had shatter-proof glass installed. Still, this is pretty scary. The way this man is just looking at the window is terrifying, he knew what he was going to do and did it. Also, why? What is the purpose of this, what a dub way to get arrested? Do you not see the camera right in front of you? At least put on a mask or something. Not that we are condoning, of course.

“I thought about the glass when I first opened the space in July,” DeParolesa told the New York Post. “It doesn’t shatter, but it does crack.”

No arrests have been made as of Monday afternoon.

DeParolesa said this was the fourth time in a week someone threw something at the bar.

“It feels like yet another manifestation of hate against our community,” he said.

The brick-throwing incident happened on the same night of a tragedy in Colorado in which five people were killed. Other 25 were injured after a gunman opened fire at an LGBTQ nightclub.

“There’s a lot of heightened fear in the community from attacks happening all over the country, and we just want to make sure we’re providing a safe space and that’s what we’re doing,” DeParolesa said, via NBC 4.
