Or whatever it is you want to call it when a man gets involved with a woman who goes a little (or a lot) crazy for their blind date.
According to police, the 21-year-old man was found naked and bleeding. He was in the parking lot outside the apartment complex where Lauren Marie Dooley, 22, lives. The victim told police he had met Dooley on the Tinder dating app. Also that she had bound his wrists and ankles with duct tape shortly after performing oral sex on him.
She then cut him with a sharp knife and demanded he get into her bed. Up until that point, everything had been consensual. But once the knife came out, the man no longer wanted to play along, police said.
“[The victim] found it odd, but consented to it,” an affidavit published by Law and Crime reads.
“However, when Lauren produced a kitchen knife and demanded he get into her bedroom, [the victim] no longer consented to staying at the residence,” the affidavit says.

She allegedly climbed on top of the man and cut his left shoulder. Things became even more frightening after that.
“Lauren then used both her hands to apply direct pressure to [the victim’s] throat for approximately 20 seconds, making it difficult to breath[e]. Lauren stopped, but only to procure a belt that she then placed around [the victim’s] neck. She tightened the belt for another 20 seconds, once more making it difficult to breath[e]. When she took it off, she checked [the victim’s] neck for a pulse,” the affidavit says.
After that, she allegedly ordered her victim to get into the bathtub and get cleaned up. Police said they did find blood in the tub.
In the midst of all this, Dooley called Door Dash to order food and have it delivered. “If you scream or say anything, I’ll kill you,” she allegedly said.
Dooley ordered her date back into the bed, where she ate her food, placed the knife under the covers … then dozed off, per court documents.
That’s when the victim was able to get to the knife, cut off the duct tape and make his escape. But it was far from a clean getaway.
“Once Dooley was asleep, the victim told police he was able to finagle the knife to cut the duct tape and quietly leave the bed,” The Daily Beast wrote. “As he tried to find his keys, Dooley reportedly woke up and chased him into the parking lot, where witnesses say she threatened him after smearing his blood on her hands as he called 911. He could be heard arguing with Dooley as he called for help, explaining to her that he called the emergency services ‘because you cut me’ and because ‘you’re going to kill me.'”
Dooley was promptly arrested — and now faces up to 25 years in prison if found guilty.
