With midterm elections just about a month away, Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is getting ready to campaign.

That’s not all, though. It appears she is also getting ready for divorce.
As relayed by TMZ and several other outlets, Taylor Greene’s husband has filed the paperwork that will end their relationship after 27 years of marriage. They share three children together.
Apparently, Taylor Greene and husband Perry Green have been separated for some time.
“Marjorie has been my best friend for the last 29 years and she has been an amazing mom!” TMZ quoted Perry Green as saying. “Our family is our most important thing we have done.”
“… As we go on different paths we will continue to focus on our 3 incredible kids and their future endeavors and our friendship.”
Obviously, the timing of this announcement isn’t great, given the upcoming midterms. Divorce can be frowned on by the voting public — regardless of how prevalent it is these days. Fair or not, there’s a chance this news could hurt Taylor Greene at the ballot box.
But maybe not, too.
Taylor Greene released a statement of her own, saying that “marriage is a wonderful thing and I’m a firm believer in it.”
She showed no animosity toward Perry in the statement.
“Together, Perry and I formed our family and raised three great kids,” she said. “He gave me the best job title you can ever earn: Mom.”
