It took 15 years for Harrison Ford to reprise his role as Indiana Jones in one of the best-known movie franchises ever. Meanwhile, his longtime wife Calista Flockhart stood by his side every step of the way.

The actors’ marriage actually stretches back all the way to 2010. During most of that time, Ford and Flockhart remained — and continue to remain — a relatively private couple.

That’s why so many heads turned earlier this month when Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart appeared in public together, per U.K. tabloid Daily Mail. They reportedly attended an afterparty in Hollywood following the premiere of 1923, the Yellowstone prequel in which Ford stars.

Amid that rare sighting of Ford and Flockhart at a Hollywood party, it seems like as good a time as any to look back at their individual careers — and their romance together.

Harrison Ford’s Stellar Career, From Han Solo to Jacob Dutton

Trying to find someone who isn’t familiar with Harrison Ford is even harder than understanding what his sidekick, Chewbacca, is saying. While he acted in eight movies from 1966 to 1974 — American Graffiti and The Conversation, most notably — he broke through in 1977’s Star Wars.

And that’s, to put it mildly. Combined with his role as Indiana Jones in the first three movies, released from 1981 to 1989, Ford continues to be one of the most-recognized and most-beloved actors of all time. Were it not for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he’d probably still be — as he was in 2016 — the actor whose combined films made more money than any other actor’s.

All in all, Harrison Ford’s films have made more than $9.3 billion globally, according to Box Office Mojo. Other major films of his include The Fugitive, Air Force One, and Blade Runner.

He will add to that inscrutable figure with next year’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Ford apparently secured a $65 million salary to put on his sable fedora one last time.

Regardless of his Ford’s net worth of $300 million, according to Parade, he still can’t get enough of the camera. After turning 80 years old in July, Ford — who is also an environmental activist — is anchoring 1923 with Helen Mirren. The first episode of the spinoff premiered Sunday.

Calista Flockhart Will Be Forever Known as Ally McBeal

Flockhart was the linchpin in one of the TV shows most commonly associated with the late 1990s. She starred as the titular character in Ally McBeal, an offbeat legal dramedy that attracted a huge viewership and critical praise alike.

The show actually lasted until 2002, at which point its viewership had sagged a bit. Nonetheless, Flockhart nailed it as attorney Allison Marie “Ally” McBeal — even if her knowledge of law didn’t exactly set the bar, so to speak. The character’s comedic love life, in which she went on dates with many incompatible dudes, made Ally McBeal even more palatable for mainstream audiences.

Calista Flockhart’s portrayal of the main character in the show, which ran for five seasons, was undeniably strong. She won a Golden Globe Award in 1998, as well as three Primetime Emmys, for her performance.

Naturally, as with just about every ‘90s TV show these days, it appears that an Ally McBeal revival might be on the horizon. Deadline reported in August that ABC is developing a revival of the show — with Flockhart returning in a supporting role.

After the biggest role of her career thus far ended 20 years ago, Calista Flockhart enjoyed lengthy runs on two other TV shows: Brothers & Sisters and Supergirl.

Capping it off, Flockhart’s film credits include The Birdcage, Quiz Show, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and a handful of other roles.

Ford’s Career — and Marriage — Are Still Going Strong

Harrison Ford married Calista Flockhart in 2010, eight years after they met at the Golden Globe Awards, according to People. As the story goes, she “accidentally” spilled a drink on him during the ceremony to get his attention.

Flockhart turned 58 years old last month. She apparently doesn’t find the 22-year age difference to be awkward.

“It doesn’t faze me,” Flockhart told Hello! Magazine in 2003. “Sometimes I even say, ‘Wow, I keep forgetting that he’s 22 years older than me.’ It doesn’t factor into our relationship at all. I like the way he looks first thing in the morning. It’s not handsome, it’s more cute. He looks like a little boy.”

The two share a son, Liam Flockhart, who they adopted together.

Like his parents, Liam — still in his teens — shies away from the spotlight, living a peaceful, anonymous life.

Ford also has four children from previous marriages.

Whatever lies in store for Ford and Flockhart, there’s no question that they’ve enjoyed one of the most storybook Hollywood romances of all time.
