In addition to his much-anticipated farewell to his iconic Indiana Jones character, Harrison Ford is making a comeback of sorts in the Yellowstone prequel 1923. 1923 is continuing the story from the previously released 1883. Ford is portraying Jacob Dutton and Mirren portrays his wife, Cara Dutton.
Yellowstone Keeps Growing Bigger
1923 will run for two seasons consisting of eight episodes apiece, according to Variety.

It was known seven months ago that the Yellowstone universe was expanding to 1932. The name of the prequel later changed to 1923.
The second Yellowstone origin story from creator Taylor Sheridan will focus on the Duttons during Prohibition and the Great Depression. However, character details for both Mirren and Ford are not yet released.
Paramount will begin airing 1923 on December 18.
Harrison Ford: More Active in ‘Retirement’ Than Ever Before?
Ford came out of retirement and agreed to a $65 million paycheck for the fifth Indiana Jones movie. Shooting for the Indy flick — which will be Harrison Ford’s last — began in June 2021 and ended in February of this year. The plot for the movie, which is scheduled to hit theaters in June 2023, is still under wraps.
As if that weren’t enough, Ford is set to star in Shrinking, an Apple TV+ project. Revolving around a grieving therapist (Ford) who decides to tell his clients what he really thinks, the comedy series is currently in production.
Finally, Ford is said to make his first appearance as Ross in Captain America 4. He may replace the late William Hurt, who portrayed General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in Marvel movies.
