Go on tour, of course.

As Variety reported yesterday, Cosby said during an appearance on the radio talk show WGH Talk yesterday that he will be able to tour in 2023.

“When I come out of this, I feel that I will be able to perform and be the Bill Cosby that my audience knows me to be,” he said.

That’s gonna be a long walk, Bill.

Bill Cosby to Tour Through Wreckage of Career

Cosby did the interview amid a new lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault and abuse. Five women, including two actresses from The Cosby Show, launched the suit in New York earlier this month.

The new claims allege assault, battery, and infliction of emotional distress that goes back decades. All five defendants have previously taken legal action against Cosby.

Actresses Lili Bernard and Eden Tirl are among those listed on the suit. Bernard played the pregnant Mrs. Minifield on The Cosby Show. While Tirl appeared in two episodes in which she played a cop.

Bernard accused Cosby, 85, of drugging and raping her in New Jersey and Nevada in 1990. Tirl said he inappropriately touched her in his dressing room in 1989. The others listed on the suit make similar accusations, dating back to 1969.

Cosby left prison in June 2021 after a state court vacated his felony conviction for aggravated indecent assault.

Presumably, Cosby’s tour run would be his final sendoff to … well, whoever, at this point.

Wait, why are we presuming anything about Bill Cosby?

You bring the popcorn. We’ll bring the checkered flags to wave home the big guy.
