Held by the American-Canadian Critics Choice Association (CCA), the show is a hot Oscar indicator. It aired last night on the CW with top film honors going to Everything Everywhere All at Once, Cate Blanchett, and Brendan Fraser.

Although Michelle Yeoh lost out to Cate Blanchett for Best Actress, she looked like a winner in this glorious cape dress by Carolina Herrera.
Henry Golding
Henry Golding is insanely handsome. He could wear any boring old suit and look terrific. So we applaud him for always going bold with the velvet. Seriously, Golding loves his velvet tuxes. Like, he really loves velvet tuxes. A lot. (Need even more proof?) Last night, he went with a new, deep aqua hue. And can I also say? Loving the goatee.
Julia Garner
Julia Garner was looking fire-truck fierce in Ferragamo. It was a much more surprising, sexy style compared to her Golden Globs princess dress, and we are loving the switch-up.
Elle Fanning
Elle Fanning plays a queen in Hulu’s The Great, and last night she looked the part in this dreamy, asymmetrical gown by Alexander McQueen.
Angela Bassett
First of all, can we just acknowledge that Angela Bassett is 64 years old. She is 64! Not that you’d ever know it in this curvy gown by Christian Siriano. Basset was glowing on the red carpet and she, and her dress, got their due later in the night too. The star picked up the award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Honorable Mention: Jeff Bridges
Jeff Bridges looked smashing in his tux last night as he came to collect his Lifetime Achievement Award from the CCA. The timing was particularly special for Bridges who honored his late father, the actor Lloyd Bridges, in his speech. Yesterday was Lloyd’s birthday. Bridges even wore his father’s cufflinks to commemorate. He said:
“It’s my dad’s birthday today, January 15. I’m wearing his cuff links. I wouldn’t be up here without my dad … I can remember him loving show biz so much, loving acting so much, and as a kid I said, ‘You know, Dad, I’m not sure I wanna be an actor.’ He goes, ‘What are you talkin’ about?’ I said, ‘I wanna do painting maybe, music.’ He said, ‘Jeff, don’t be ridiculous. Being an actor, they’re gonna call on you to do all of those things you’re interested in. And besides that, you’re gonna get to tell all these wonderful stories from all these different perspectives of people that are alive. This is a wonderful profession.’ “

In a post-show interview, Bridges also reflected on his ongoing health battle. In addition to a life-threatening bout of COVID, the actor has been battling lymphoma for two years; his cancer is now in remission. Though Bridges may play The Old Man on TV, it’s clear he’s still young at heart. The Lifetime Achievement Award was well-deserved. We love you, Jeff!
