Matthew Smith says he goes to the same Starbucks every morning. It’s inside the Safeway grocery store in Forest Grove, Oregon. Smith says he’s greeted everyday by a young man named Ben.

“He always has my drink ready for me when I reach the counter, knows nearly all of his customers by name, and actually makes you want to go by and see him if he’s working,” Smith wrote on Facebook.

A few days ago, he says he saw Ben go above and beyond for an elderly customer.

“There was a wind and rain storm outside, and he approached the worker he trusted the most and asked Ben for help. He just needed his jacket zipped up and was having problems,” wrote Smith. “Of course, Ben obliged without hesitation.”

Smith says he posted the photo in hopes that someone at Starbucks corporate could see it and properly recognize Ben for being an outstanding employee.
