Leave it to Twitter to egg on two celebrities to hook up even though they share almost nothing in common other than their ability to dominate tabloid headlines.

But what Twitter wants, well, Twitter … talks about, at least. Ad nauseam. Twitters users’ latest wish that probably won’t come true — and would make little sense if it did — is for Gisele Bündchen and Pete Davidson to become a couple.

Why? Uh, Twitter doesn’t deal with silly questions like that.

Twitter Froths Over Pete Davidson and Gisele Bündchen

Davidson, as we all know — because the media won’t stop reminding us — his single after he and Kim Kardashian split earlier this year.

Lately, tabloids are also in a tizzy over supermodel Bündchen and football quarterback Tom Brady possibly heading for a divorce.

If you missed one of the critical details listed about, Gisele Bündchen is still married. Apparently Twitter doesn’t let a small matter like that get in the way of its dreams. Or hopes. Or whatever you’d call a hypothetical scenario in which a 28-year-old comedian and 42-year-old supermodel would not just shack up together but actually have something in common to talk about.

Trending News pointed out one tweet from earlier this month, and a reply to it, that pretty much jointly sum up the ridiculousness behind the Gisele Bündchen and Pete Davidson chatter.

The website pointed out that Twitter user Dane Richardson declared: “I have no doubt in my mind that Pete Davidson is going to end up with Gisele now.”

The lone reply to that comment read: “Can’t we all agree that Pete Davidson has been through enough!”

Maybe we should start asking the question: “Can’t we all agree that we’ve had enough of Twitter?”
