Or, to put in more colorful terms, as Jennifer Lawrence told Vogue: “I’m still not going to get paid as much as that guy, because of my vagina?”

Jennifer Lawrence earned $5 million less than Leonardo DiCaprio for the film, according to Vanity Fair. That’s after the hacking of Sony Pictures computers in 2014 apparently uncovered evidence that Lawrence was paid much less than her male counterparts for American Hustle.

Lawrence reportedly said actors are overpaid in general, although that doesn’t diminish her frustration about the pay gap.

Jennifer Lawrence further revealed that she had a miscarriage during the shooting of Don’t Look Up.

Jennifer Lawrence Joins Bryce Dallas Howard in Unequal Pay Dispute

The pay gap revelation comes less than a month after Bryce Dallas Howard made similar claims. She revealed she was paid “so much less” than previously reported compared with Chris Pratt for the Jurassic World sequels.

The actors co-starred in the recent trilogy: 2015’s Jurassic World, 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and 2022’s Jurassic World DominionVariety said in 2018 that Bryce Dallas Howard only earned $8 million for Fallen Kingdom versus Pratt’s $10 million.

But Insider reported that Bryce Dallas Howard told the news outlet that the pay gap was even bigger. She apparently didn’t cite exact amounts.

“The reports were so interesting because I was paid so much less than the reports even said, so much less,” Howard said. “When I started negotiating for Jurassic, it was 2014, and it was a different world, and I was at a great disadvantage. And, unfortunately, you have to sign up for three movies, and so your deals are set.”
