The Osbournes are Returning to Reality TV With New Series ‘Home to Roost’

This is the era of television nostalgia, it seems, and what is nostalgia without the Prince of Darkness?

So fittingly, Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon are making a TV reality comeback. The duo will star in a new show entitled, Home to Roost.

The show will chronicle Ozzy and Sharon on their move from Los Angeles back to their homeland of England, as well as other aspects of their day-to-day lives. And anyone who saw MTV’s The Osbournes back in the early 2000s knows that their day-to-day lives are entertaining enough.

Anyway, Home to Roost is scheduled to launch on BBC One in 2023 and will also be available on the network’s VOD service iPlayer. The first season will consist of 10 episodes, with each being 30 minutes in length.

The Best of The Osbournes

Per the BBC press release:

“Home to Roost will document Ozzy and Sharon’s journey back to Britain, alongside Kelly and Jack’s efforts to support them, as they attempt to re-start their lives in rural Buckinghamshire. The series will follow the Osbournes as they celebrate one of their most important years yet – with everything from Sharon’s 70th birthday to Kelly’s soon-to-be-born baby, Ozzy’s tour, and of course the big move itself. This will be a genuine portrait, showing Sharon and Ozzy as they face up to illness and the challenges of getting older, but with the usual Osbourne eccentricities, humour, warmth and love.”

So, yes, Kelly and Jack will again be involved. Kelly is expecting her first child with boyfriend Sid Wilson, the turntablist for the band Slipknot.

“Rejoining the Osbournes as they return to the UK is a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said series creative directors Ben Wicks and Colin Barr. “Twenty years ago, they shaped television for all of us –now they’re coming home at a different stage in their lives but with the promise of the same laughter, love and tears.”
