Real Or Fake

There was a scene in the biopic where Presley fired Parker in the middle of a Vegas performance because of debts that Parker had racked up and placed on the artist’s shoulders, but this isn’t what actually went down between the two.

According to Alanna Nash, Elvis Presley died never knowing the truth about Parker’s debt. Nash explained that Presley fired Parker over the way he treated an employee. Apparently, Parker was mistreating the man, whose wife battling cancer at the time. His treatment of the employee infuriated Presley and he attempted to terminate their relationship.
