The new trailer opens with an establishing shot of colorful Barbie Land, before showcasing Robbie as Barbie. The next scene features Barbie happily saying hi to all the other Barbies, while everyone seems to be annoyed by the presence of Ken, played by Gosling. After a short sequence showing Barbie riding around town, Ken tells Barbie, “I thought I might stay over tonight,” to which she simply replies, “Why?” When Ken answers, “Because we’re boyfriend and girlfriend,” Barbie asks, “To do what?” Ken looks puzzled and after a pause says “I’m actually not sure.”

Cheeky Barbie Trailer

As the trailer continues, viewers are treated to various images of the cast having a brawl at the beach and a party at some sort of pink courthouse. Toward the end of the trailer, beloved funnyman Will Ferrell can be spotted. Also at the end of the trailer, Barbie crashes her way into the real world in her pink car. She is accompanied by Ken, a fact she is not happy about. At the very end of the trailer, part of a scene is shown where the cast starts a running gag filled with innuendos involving the term “beach you off.”

Fans on Twitter are sounding off their opinions regarding the new trailer. Twitter user @ungodlywests tweeted, “barbie wasn’t wearin no f***in louboutins them s***s were made of jelly.” Some Twitter users are photoshopping other celebrities into the Barbie poster, with Twitter user @quinnxlover tweeting a faux Barbie poster featuring Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) from Stranger Things, accompanied by the text, “everyone wants barbie metalhead.”

Barbie hits theaters on July 21. In addition to Robbie, Gosling, and Ferrell, Barbie stars Michael Cera, Simu Lee, Emma Mackey, Kate McKinnon, America Ferrera, and Issa Rae.
