“Look, I love music and I love The Voice,” Shelton told ET’s Cassie DiLaura. “I love all the cool things I get to do with my job, but those things all take a backseat now to Gwen and the kids and it’s just a new phase of my life.”

Shelton and Stefani have been living and working on his Oklahoma ranch. They’ve been planting acres of flowers and living the good life. Shelton has called Stefani “magical” and their life “incredible.” He’s also talked about loving Stefani’s three sons more each day. Stefani shares three sons with her previous husband, Bush singer Gavin Rossdale.

Shelton And Stefani Share Faith In God

The couple met on the set of The Voice and fell in love. Shelton credits God and their shared faith as one of the powers that brought them together. He once said that by watching Stefani, “naturally I start seeing the God in everything, because she does.”

Shelton told ET that music will always be important to him and that he expresses that by releasing singles every now and then.

“I’m having fun putting out songs when I feel like it and luckily the record label allows me to do that,” he said. “They always support it when I do it and my stupid ideas of doing a ’90s country video — they’re always on board and because of that, we have a ‘God’s Country’ once in a while or a ‘Happy Anywhere.'”

The country singer also credits The Voice for boosting his career. “I’ve pulled an audience from TV that maybe didn’t even know who I was, probably didn’t know who I was when I started on The Voice and it’s kind of been the thing that took me to a different level in my career and I love that,” he told ET.

But for now, Shelton’s priorities are wife Gwen Stefani and the boys. Music is here to stay, and everything else is just temporary.
