It looks like Alec Baldwin can’t get a break. Last year the family of a marine that was killed in Afghanistan reportedly filed a defamation lawsuit against the actor. The family accused Baldwin of being “negligent and reckless.” This after he posted the service member’s sister on social media. Baldwin accused her of being at the Capitol protest on January 6, 2021.  Just last week they decided to file for a second time

The lawsuit was filed by Cheyenne McCollum and Roice McCollum, who are the sisters of Marine Lance Corporal Rylee J. McCollum. The 20-year-old was one of the 13 service members who were killed in a suicide bombing in Kabul last summer.

The family first filed a lawsuit in Wyoming. It was quickly dismissed back in May since the court does not have jurisdiction over Baldwin. The actor currently lives in New York. According to Fox News, the family filed a second lawsuit in the southern district of New York last week. The family is asking $25 million in damages.

The sister stated that the actor accused Roice McCollum of being an “insurrectionist”  on his social media, which led to her being verbally attacked by his fans.

Family of Fallen Marine Sues Alec Baldwin… AGAIN

The suit states that the actor first contacted Roice on Instagram and donated $5,000 to the family’s GoFundMe page after the soldier’s death. He intended to give his widow a “ tribute for a fallen soldier.”

Last year, Roice McCollum posted a photo to her Instagram of herself attending the pro-Trump protest on January 6, 2021,  ahead of the riot that occurred that same day at the US Capitol. The post made its way to Baldwin, and he decided to message her privately. “Are you the same woman I sent the $ for your sister’s husband who was killed during the Afghanistan exit?,” he told her.

“When I sent the $ for your late brother, out of real respect for his service to this country, I didn’t know you were a January 6th rioter,” he continued. She went on to respond, “Protesting is perfectly legal in the country and I’ve already had my sit down with the FBI. Thanks, have a nice day!”

Baldwin wrote back, “Your activities resulted in the unlawful destruction of government property, the death of a law enforcement officer, and an assault on the certification of the presidential election. I reposted your photo. Good luck.”

The suit said she had protested peacefully and was not accused of any crime after being interviewed by the FBI.

Baldwin decided to repost the photo on his page so his 2.4 million followers could see. He accused her of being an “insurrectionist.” The lawsuit went on to say Baldwin “seemingly benevolent overtures turned into a nightmare. Roice began to get hostile, aggressive, hateful messages from Baldwin’s followers.”

  1. He is so upset over a person walking around that area…and it just so happens to be jan 6? Yet he shoots a person dead and claims he never pulled the trigger. Nobody wants to hire him anymore….he’s got some serious emotional issues I’d say.

    • It’s important to remove the drenched vegetables so the remainder of the garden can thrive despite your rotting on the earth.

  2. Mr. Baldwin would do well to stay in his own lane. He has his issues and really should not use his fame to defame another. With movie stars it seems there comes a level of arrogance with their status. Where is their anger for the many protestors who have literally ruined lively hoods and whole neighborhoods? He had no good intentions with his post it was to incite, with his fame this was a critical and could be dangerous for this girl. But taking Trappist never been his strong suit.

  3. He seems to always –mostly– pick fights with women, strange. He threatened her knowing full well the repercussions she would suffer from his fans!!! He also said he never pulled the trigger while the gun was in his hand, the FBI said differently…She should win.
