- From there, his potential was unlocked, and he soon joined the police force.
- Shortly after, he became Deputy Cody Loncaric’s K9 police dog.
Police Dog Helps Authorities Locate Two Missing Children

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office shared a Facebook post about Knox’s heroic events. In the post, they shared that at “approximately 5:48 p.m., first responders were dispatched to the area of Sundance Lake in Hoosier National Forest for two 11-year-old juveniles that became separated from their mother and were lost in the thick woods.”
Naturally, this was a terrifying time for everyone, including the poor children who were now stranded alone in the wilderness. Therefore, authorities needed to call in the best of the best, so they called in Knox.
- In addition to Knox, the Brown County Sheriff Department, along with “the Department of Natural Resources – Law Enforcement, Nashville Police Department, Harrison Township Fire Department, and Southern Brown Volunteer Fire Department,” all joined in on the search.
It was Knox who pointed law enforcement officers in the correct direction and helped lead them to the two missing juveniles. Had it not been for Knox, this search and rescue may have taken much longer.
