Some of Nike’s top executives preyed on female employees while the company was made aware and did nothing about it, the New York Post wrote, citing an unsealed gender discrimination lawsuit against the sneaker and apparel behemoth.
The suit alleges that all incidents occurred on Nike’s main campus in Bend, Oregon. It referred to company headquarters as a “boys club.” Where male execs felt free to make unwanted sexual advances or make suggestive comments about female employees’ appearances. The suit also alleges the executives would make “hints and innuendos alluding to sex,” the Post reported.
Along with all that, one female employee said she witnessed an executive receiving oral sex from a female subordinate in the gym located at company headquarters. Another said she had been told by her male co-workers to “dress sexier” and “show some skin.”
All were part of the executives regularly getting “sloppy drunk” while sexually harassing female employees, the suit alleged.

A judge has ruled against the lawsuit being filed as a class-action suit, dwindling the number of plaintiffs from 5,200 to the original 14 who filed the complaint.
The suit also includes “executive emails, speech crafts and correspondence between lawyers,” according to the Post. It was filed in 2018 but just unsealed last week.
Nike has yet to comment publicly on the allegations. But with how serious the accusations are, we don’t doubt they’ll release a statement soon. Especially since they are a huge company that has been around for years.
