Storms Wednesday caused a disaster in Florida as a truck carrying several sharks to New York crashed on I-95.

News 13 reports the truck was carrying the sandbar sharks to their new aquarium home when a tire came loose from the vehicle and the truck veered toward the median. One shark was killed when it was ejected from the truck.
The three others, each about five feet long, were rescued by SeaWorld officials and are being kept in individual aquariums until alternate transportation arrangements can be made. The surviving sharks are shaken by transportation stress but are otherwise OK.
“We’re just grateful no one got injured and we’re happy to help,” SeaWorld assistant curator Jim Kinsler said.
