Love Everlasting

When Christmas-themed Love Actually came out in 2003, it did well enough at the box office, making $246.8 million on a budget of roughly $40 million to $45 million.

Critics didn’t immediately fall head over heels for the seasonal flick, but over time, the movie built a sturdy set of fans and won over some of its early detractors.

With its cast alone, Love Actually continues to remain on the top of the Christmas movie heap. The ensemble flick is heavy on British actors but includes a few well-known American ones too.

At the tip of the iceberg, cast-wise are Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Laura Linney, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Keira Knightley, Bill Nighy, and Rowan Atkinson (a.k.a. Mr. Bean).

Oh, and it also featured an unforgettable cameo by supermodel Claudia Schiffer.

A Long-Awaited Christmas Reunion

CNN recently announced that, just in time for the holidays, Love Actually cast members recently got back together for a special next week.

The program’s title is self-explanatory: The Laughter & Secrets of ‘Love Actually’: 20 Years Later – A Diane Sawyer Special. It premieres Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, a partner network of CNN.

Hulu will subsequently stream the reunion, which will feature Knightley, Neeson, Firth, among others.
