On Thursday, the actor appeared to reveal the stroke for the first time on her Twitter account. She posted a video in which she sports rainbow-colored hair, along with the following reflection:

It’s 9/2

One year ago I had a massive stoke.

Before that I lost so many beloved family and friends,

And daddy

And then

Cousin Wayne

Yet still a survivor after this traumatic life I’ve been given so far…

And still so grateful,

Still so full of faith,

And STILL HERE!

Pauley Perrette: A Look At Her Career

Pauley Perrette is best known for her role as Abby Sciuto in the smash hit drama series NCIS from 2003 to 2018. She later revealed she quit the show, in part, after getting bit by a dog on set.

She followed that up with CBS sitcom Broke — but said she was retiring after the show was canceled. Indeed, Pauley Perrette doesn’t appear to have worked on any entertainment projects since Broke — in which she had a major role — ended.

But that doesn’t mean Pauley Perrette isn’t staying active.

Roughly a month ago, she appeared on KTLA 5 to discuss her involvement with Project Angel Food. The organization prepares and delivers over 1 million meals annually to homes of men, women, and children affected by life-threatening illnesses, according to its website.

“I’m so glad to be back here again,” Perrette told viewers. “I was right here last year, it was fantastic. …  not only are we giving food but we’re giving love.”

She then reached into her sock and pulled out a donation.

“This is my $9,000 check, I think you can put it in… That’s for Project Angel Food,” she said.
