Less than three months after Ellen said goodbye to her daytime talk show, the once-unconquerable Ellen DeGeneres is reportedly out at HBO Max too.
Deadline said HBO Max indefinitely canceled the animated series Little Ellen before new episodes aired in June. The network reportedly gave final notice of the show earlier this month.
HBO Max previously canceled three projects with DeGeneres after the September 2019 announcement of her partnership with the streaming service. They were the reality-TV shows Ellen’s Home Design Challenge and First Date Hotel, and the docuseries and Finding Einstein.
Meanwhile, Ellen also drew headlines on Friday when she tweeted about the condition of former partner Anne Heche.
“This is a sad day,” Ellen DeGeneres wrote on Twitter. “I’m sending Anne’s children, family and friends all of my love.”
Anne Heche’s friend Nancy Davis wrote on Twitter that the actor had died.
“Heaven has a new Angel. My loving, kind, fun, endearing and beautiful friend @anneheche went to heaven. I will miss her terribly and cherish all the beautiful memories we have shared. Anne was always the kindest, most thoughtful person who always brought out the best in me. She was so supportive with anything she could do to help @racetoerasems and would always say yes when she knew she could contribute something with her time, talent and creative genius to help find a cure for MS. My heart is broken 💔💔💔#heavenhasanewangel #heavenhasanotherangel”
