Robyn Griggs Is Reportedly Entering Hospice Care

Former Another World star Robyn Griggs is entering hospice care after suffering from cervical cancer for the previous two years.

“She has fought with determination, strength, and grace,a post to her social media accounts read.

“That is nothing short of inspirational,” it continued. “Keep Robyn and her family in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.”

Griggs, 49, revealed she had stage 4 cervical cancer in 2020. She began her career as a child actor by playing Molly in Annie, then later went on to host hosted the Nickelodeon kids show Rated K.

She made her soap debut on One Life to Live in 1991, but became best known for her role as Maggie Cory on Another World in the mid-90s. She was fired from the show in 1995, telling Hard Copy she believed it happened because of her relationship with John Wayne Bobbitt.

After taking some time away, she resurfaced in several below-the-radar comedy-horror movies such as Zombiegeddon and Ghost Tour.

Griggs married golf pro Mark Wiley in 2013 and was diagnosed with stage 4 endocervical adeno in the fall of 2020. She indicated her doctors believed it was most likely terminal. She underwent surgery to remove the cancer the following year, making personal appearances to help raise awareness.

She revealed in July 2020 that new tumors had been discovered and she was agai undergoing treatment.

“I told them whatever it takes, I’m in for the fight,” she wrote on social media. “I’ll be very sore, nauseous, etc., but who knows, maybe it works and relieves some pain. you never know.”
