Adam Sandler torched Ben Stiller when he accepted the Performer Tribute Award at the 2022 Gotham Awards on Sunday.

While accepting the award, Sandler packed in as many jokes as he could. He said his daughters were at home doing everything they weren’t normally allowed to do when he’s home.

They planned to “eat his Yodels or try on his Spanx or … laugh out loud at Ben Stiller movies.”

The 56-year-old Sandler qualified that his daughters, Sadie and Sunny — 16 and 14 years old, respectively — wrote his speech.

Sandler said: “They were, like, ‘Can we write your speech, Daddy, so you got something to say?’ I said, ‘Absolutely. It’d be nice to see you do something other than watch YouTube or go to f—in’ Lululemon every f—in’ weekend.”

“We also wish we could be at tonight’s awards show with all of you sophisticated people, but Daddy said, and we quote, ‘I don’t want to spend a whole night that’s supposed to be about me and my greatness listening to you two newly publicized [sic] buffoons screaming, “Where is Timothée Chalamet, and how can we legally squeeze that fine little Jewish ass of his?” ’ ”

In 2017, Sandler and Stiller co-starred in Noah Baumbach’s comedy/drama The Meyerowitz Stories. Sandler was nominated for the Best Actor prize at the Gotham Independent Film Awards for his performance in the film. He didn’t win it, though.
