After some very serious allegations were made against him, Armie Hammer is now officially being investigated by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. Hammer was accused of “violently” raping his ex-girlfriend Effie, and other women have claimed that he sent them deeply disturbing texts that revealed his cannibalistic fetishes.

DA rep Tiffiny Blacknell spoke to CNN, saying, “I can confirm that the LAPD has presented a case regarding Armie Hammer to the (Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office). The matter is currently under review.”
The Disturbing Allegations Against Armie Hammer
Hammer, who was experiencing a very fruitful acting career after starring in films like The Social Network, Call Me By Your Name, and Rebecca, initially denied the allegations. His reputation was tarnished, and he was fired from several upcoming projects including the Jennifer Lopez film, Shotgun Wedding.
Hammer claimed that he attempted suicide following the allegations. While speaking with Air Mail, Hammer said, “I just walked out into the ocean and swam out as far as I could and hoped that either I drowned, or was hit by a boat, or eaten by a shark. Then I realized that my kids were still on shore, and that I couldn’t do that to my kids.” Hammer has been separated from his wife Elizabeth Chambers since 2020.
Hammer soon admitted that he was emotionally abusive in his past relationships, but still denies the rape allegations. He also claims that he was sexually abused by a pastor when he was 13. Hammer said “I would have these younger women in their mid-20s, and I’m in my 30s. I was a successful actor at the time. They could have been happy to just be with me and would have said yes to things that maybe they wouldn’t have said yes to on their own. That’s an imbalance of power in the situation.”
Hammer’s accusers shared shocking texts to the public that they allegedly received from the actor. One text read, “I am 100% a cannibal,” followed by “I want to eat you.” Another text stated, “I have a fantasy of having someone prove their love and devotion and tying them up in a public place at night and making their body free use.” Hammer’s disturbing nature was discussed in the Discovery Plus documentary House of Hammer, which revealed that his extremely wealthy family has a history of violence.
