Jerry Seinfeld has served as a director of a movie, which co-stars comedian Bobby Moynihan of Saturday Night Live fame.

So is it really any surprise that the film is called, Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story?
Granted, we don’t know if Seinfeld likes pop tarts. We don’t know Moynihan’s feelings toward them, either. Then again, everyone loves pop tarts.
But we do know that name is fitting for a movie directed by Seinfeld. It just sounds like something fans of comedy will want to see.
So what is Seinfeld like as a director?

“All I’m going to say is I feel like I’m involved in a new Cannonball Run for 2022 and I couldn’t be happier,” Moynihan told Entertainment Weekly. “And I got to meet Tom Lennon and become friends with him and we have a lot of stuff to do in the movie together, and that was quite possibly the best part of it. And of course, working with Jerry.”
At first, Monyihan had a hard time taking Seinfeld seriously. In fact, we still don’t know that he has.
“It’s so strange to hear him talk because you know his voice so well,” Monyihan said. “So when he just talks to you casually and asks you how your day is, you kind of have to choke back that smirk of like, ‘Okay, Jerry Seinfeld,’ and you have to get past yourself and just go, ‘I’m a human working on a job,’ and then he is great. And then he is wonderful and a very, very, very intelligent comedian.”
Along with directing, Seinfeld also stars in the movie, which is centered on Kellog’s and Post Consumer Brands competing to see if which can first develop the breakfast pastry. It is set in 163 Michigan.
The cast also includes Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Amy Schumer and Hugh Grant, and is expected to be released on NetFlix in 2023.
