Henry Winkler Reveals Cover of His New Memoir: ‘Being Henry’

Fans are about to get an exclusive look into the life of “The Fonz.” His 50-year career in Hollywood is being released in print.

Actor Henry Winkler is in the process of releasing a memoir titled Being Henry. The story is set to be released in October. Every high and low in his life is documented in the book. He gave People an exclusive look at the cover of the memoir.

The story will focus on the actor and comedian’s life in the spotlight will be outlined from his starring role in the 1970s sitcom Happy Days to Parks and Recreation, Arrested Development, and Barry.

“I am both excited and nervous to contemplate writing a memoir, because it’s hard for me to remember what happened the day before yesterday,” Winkler shared. “But here I go!”

Life Story

There will be some personal aspects included in the book as well. Things like his dyslexia diagnosis, difficult childhood, and the struggles he faced during his rise to fame.

Winkler did an interview with People ahead of the Emmy Awards. He was nominated for outstanding supporting actor for his role as Gene Cousineau in Barry

He talked about how it feels to be in a new era of his career. “I am relaxed. I can take it in, I’m not so worried.”

The actor also discussed the amusement he gets out of discovering where his fans know him from. Whether it be Happy Days, Waterboy, Parks & Rec, Scream, Arrested Development, and Barry.

He also shared a few details about how he ended up taking the role on the show Barry. “Two things: Bill Hader, Alec Berg. So you know it comes from great bones, like when you go and see a house, and it has great bones, so the auspice already is wonderful, it’s written really well, and then I’m so happy I was invited.”
