Weeks after the death of Lisa Marie Presley, a contentious battle has emerged over the singer’s will. Lisa Marie, the only child of Elvis Presley, died on January 12 at the age of 54, leaving behind her Trust, which includes Elvis’ Graceland property as well as 15 percent ownership of Elvis’ estate. The Trust has now been passed on to her daughters, per Lisa Marie’s request.

Now, it looks like attorneys for Lisa Marie’s mother, Priscilla Presley, have filed a petition in Los Angeles to question the “authenticity and validity” of the late singer’s will, claiming that a 2016 amendment that put the Trust in hands of her 33-year-old daughter, Riley Keough, and twins Finley and Harper Lockwood, 14, is invalid.
“Lisa’s intent was very clear,” a friend close to the late star told PEOPLE. “Lisa really didn’t feel that Priscilla was doing anything in her best interest.” According to the petition obtained by People, Lisa Marie wrote a living will back in 1993 and amended it in 2010 making Priscilla, 77, a Co-Trustee alongside her former business manager, Barry Siegel.

But, after Lisa Marie’s death, Priscilla found an amendment that had been added back in 2016 which removed her and Siegel and replace them with Riley, her brother Benjamin Kough, who died by suicide back in 2020, and her twin sisters. A representative for Riley has yet to comment on the issue.
The petition goes on to allege, “many issues surrounding the authenticity and validity” of the said amendments which includes the fact that it wasn’t given to Priscilla while Lisa Marie was alive and “as required by the express terms of the Trust,” that the late singer’s signature was “inconsistent” with her usual signage. As well as the fact that there was no witness or notarization.
Priscilla claims that the 2010 amendment is still “the authoritative and controlling document,” and is requesting the court order the 2016 amendment invalid. She is attempting to regain control, which directly contradicts Lisa Marie’s wishes, noting that when the 2016 amendment was made, she didn’t have a relationship with her daughter.
“Lisa lived her life authentically… She wouldn’t remain quiet when she was being taken advantage of,” a source told people. “At the end of the day, these are her wishes, and there’s no question as to what her wishes were. No one’s going to be able to reinvent the last seven or eight years and say no, no, no.”

I think Priscilla is being greedy and selfish! What she is doing is despicable. However, she was having issues with Lisa marie before her death so, this comes as no huge surprise.
I think it’s Priscilla’s attempt to keep Lockwood from getting Lisa’s money.
Priscilla was Elvis Presley’s choice to manage his estate in the event of his death. She did so until Lockwood entered the picture. I do not trust the amendment naming anyone other than Lisa’s children as heirs and no-one other than Priscilla to be trustee until of the estate until each child is of age to manage their own trustfunds at age 18 or 21 whichever Priscilla sees fit.

Elvis left Graceland and more to Lisa Marie and she has done just fine with her mithers help and so will Lisa’s daughters as for Lisa’ s life insurance she has no say I’ve it that is the girls if Lisa left Graceland to her daughter and not with any conditions for Pricilla to have any say she needs to stay out of it unless her granddaughter ask for her help!

It happens, in the richest n poorest families. My attorney in Fort Lauderdale said. I’d win, he said, but, the attorneys would take most of it. I have in to the greed of my sister. I had trusted her prior to my mom’s death. I handed over all information of her assets. I just couldn’t accept my parents hard earned money going to hell with attorneys. Greed is a deadly sin.
Priscilla should be ashamed of herself. Her daughter dies and first and only thing she runs for is more money, your time is up long before your granddaughters, who are you leaving your pieces to?

Without a witness or Notary it’s clearly not valid..then you have at least 5 years that Priscilla was clearly continuing to run the show..even up to Elvis 88 the birthday…on which Priscilla auctioned off one of his jets in Florida for $450,000.00 and Lol sa Marie was alive on that date and knew what she was doing so if there was any discrepancy as to who was running things it would have come out way before now….I would consider actions speaking out under than phony written words….nobody gets along with their mother all the time…but if Priscilla had not taken charge and managed things there wouldn’t be anything to manage…Lisa was millions indebt to IRS..she was depending on mom to get her out of it…and her f it isn’t paid they are likely to lose Graceland…you can’t pass on property that has an IRS lein on it…and mom’s the only one able to play let’s make a deal..so better butt out Lockwood!
I hate it when loved ones pass and the people left behind.I really believe Priscilla and Lockwood are both being greedy.I feel Riley is capable of taking care of everything.Hope she doesn’t do anything with Graceland for her mom loved it there so many memories .Priscilla it is not right to do this to your grandkids.Now Lockwood another story to me he was not much of a dad.Just lazy wanting a free hand out from Lisa Marie.I do get the girls need to be taken care of because they are only 14.With Lisa Marie finding child pornographe on his computer I sure would not let him get custody should not even aloud to be around them.I hope they do the right thing for Lisa Marie’s daughter🙏🙏🙏
People seem to forget that Priscilla is the reason Lisa Marie even had all this to give her children. When Elvis died he apparently only had $400,000. Priscilla worked hard to make Graceland what it is today even while a family still lived there for like 20+ years after Graceland was open. Graceland is the 2nd most visited place in the US behind the Whitehouse. Priscilla has the best intentions for her grand-daughters, Graceland and the legacy of Lisa Marie and Elvis. I understand Riley is an adult and all this stuff. But she’s a new mom and her sisters are young. Let Priscilla do her thing and when its time Riley and her sisters will have something for their kids to have!
Stephanie Wren, of all the comments I think yours is the closest to the truth. Lisa Marie would have bloom the whole thing if Priscilla had not been trustee. However it is up to the courts.
