Last we heard about Rebel Wilson’s personal life, she made headlines by losing 60 pounds. In another dose of good news about the Bridesmaids and Pitch Perfect actress, she recently announced an exciting gain instead of a loss: her first child.

The Australian actress, writer, producer — and, of course, rebel — recently made the announcement on her Instagram profile.
“Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate,” she wrote. “I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle! I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making…but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!!”
The 42-year-old Rebel Wilson added: “I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable. I am learning quickly…much respect to all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club.”

Wilson’s announcement immediately drew an outpouring of congratulations from her fellow actors, including Brittany Snow, Octavia Spencer, Alison Brie, and Melanie Griffith.
Arielle Kebbel chimed in: “Congrats 💞💞💞 so happy for you, you’re going to be an incredible mom. Welcome to the world sweet Roycie!”
Director Taika Waititi added: “🙌❤️❤️❤️ yes Rebz, congrats xx.”
Brittany Snow weighed in as well, saying, “Aunt Britt is soooo excited to meet the newest Bella. I love you SO much Rebs.”
Instagram seems to be Rebel Wilson’s social media forum of choice. In June, she came out on the same platform, announcing her relationship with clothing designer Ramona Agruma.
“I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince … but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess,” Wilson wrote.
