The house from Home Alone shot the movie was recently available on Airbnb for a mere $25 a night. Best of all, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern live nowhere near the Chicago property, so whoever stayed there didn’t have boobytrap it.

Airbnb posted the Home Alone listing in early December — just in time for the holidays. The timing was smart, as 1990’s Home Alone is considered one of the best Christmas movies of all time. (It ranks right up there with Batman Returns.)

The listing, titled A Sweet Home Alone Holiday, said the house contains two bedrooms, two beds, and one-and-a-half baths. It accommodates up to four guests.

Better yet, the homeowner who posted the Airbnb listing is Devin Ratray, who played Buzz McCallister, the oldest son in Home Alone.

Terrified of spiders? Then it’s just as well the house is no longer available.

“I’m inviting one crew of mischief makers to let their inner 8-year-olds run free in my childhood home on Dec. 12,” the homeowner said in the humorous Airbnb listing.

The listing continued: “It’s a holiday wish come true: a cozy holiday scene with twinkling lights and a perfectly trimmed tree awaits you at the McCallister ‘castle’ (oh, and so does my pet tarantula – mind watching him for me?), now bookable for the very first time.”

McCallister posted the listing around the Disney+ release of Home Sweet Home Alone, the sixth movie in the franchise.

“This Airbnb stay offers a trip down memory lane and an unforgettable way to celebrate the holidays,” he wrote. “You may not remember me as particularly accommodating, but I’ve grown up, and I’d be happy to share my family home – my pizza, even – with you this holiday season. Just try not to let my tarantula, Axl, loose this time.”

Similar to the Home Alone house, Airbnb posted a listing for the Corleone mansion, featured heavily in the first Godfather film, earlier this year. It too is no longer available.
