1. Michael Irvin Removed From Super Bowl Coverage After Accusation

Cowboys Hall of Fame wide receiver and 3x Super Bowl champion Michael Irvin has been removed from coverage of Super Bowl 57 on Sunday for an alleged incident that occurred at a hotel last Sunday.

Irvin was asked about the Arizona altercation by Dallas Morning News, saying the following in a phone interview.

“Honestly, I’m a bit baffled with it all. This all happened in a 45-second conversation in the lobby,” Irvin told Gehlken in a phone interview. “When I got back after going out … I came into the lobby, and I talked to somebody. I talked to this girl. I don’t know her, and I talked to her for about 45 seconds.

“We shook hands. Then, I left. … That’s all I know.”

2. Songwriter and Composer Burt Bacharach Dies at 94

Legendary composer Burt Bacharach has died at the age of 94. Bacharach reportedly died at his home in Los Angeles of natural causes, according to his publicist Tina Brausam, who told the Associated Press.

The musician was one of the most prominent composers in the 1960s and ’70s, writing several top 10 hits including Dionne Warawick’s “Do You Know the Way to San Jose” and “I Say A Little Prayer.” Throughout his career, he received several accolades including eight Grammy awards, was a prize-winning Broadway composer, and received three Oscars. He also went on to win two Academy Awards in 1970 for the score of “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and for the song “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head.”

3. Robin Roberts Marks 10 Years Since Return to GMA After Bone Marrow Transplant

Robin Roberts is well-acquainted with overcoming challenges. In 2007, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, followed by a diagnosis of myelodysplastic syndrome, an uncommon blood condition affecting the bone marrow, five years later. Fortunately, her sister Sally-Ann was a nearly ideal match and she underwent a successful bone marrow transplant on September 20, 2012.

4. Texas Walmart Shooter Pleads Guilty to Killing 23 People in 2019 Attack

The legal proceedings of a tragic El Paso massacre are coming to a head as the alleged shooter, Patrick Crusius pleads guilty to a total of 90 federal counts involving murder, hate crimes, and unlawful use of firearms.

This plea comes nearly four years after the horrific event occurred. On August 3, 2019, Crusius opened fire inside of a Walmart in El Paso, Texas. His heinous acts resulted in the death of 23 individuals and critical injuries to several others.

5. Halyna Hutchins Family to Sue Alec Baldwin for Fatal Shooting in Rust Incident

The parents and sister of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was killed on the set of Rust in 2001, have revealed they plan to sue Alec Baldwin for her death. Attorney Gloria Allred announced via a press conference on Thursday.

Halyna was shot by a gun that was held by the actor while setting up a camera shot during rehearsal on the New Mexico set of the western film. Baldwin was charged last month with two counts of involuntary manslaughter with prosecutors alleging he was distracted during the gun training and went on to show Reckless deviation from standard safety protocol on set. The actor has maintained he didn’t pull the trigger despite FBI forensic reports finding that the gun couldn’t fire without a trigger being pulled.
