Irvin was asked about the Arizona altercation by Dallas Morning News, saying the following in a phone interview…

“Honestly, I’m a bit baffled with it all. This all happened in a 45-second conversation in the lobby,” Irvin told Gehlken in a phone interview. “When I got back after going out … I came into the lobby, and I talked to somebody. I talked to this girl. I don’t know her, and I talked to her for about 45 seconds.

“We shook hands. Then, I left. … That’s all I know.”

Glendale, Arizona police said that they received no calls or reports about any incident involving Michael Irvin.

Irvin added about the situation…

“What law did I break? There was definitely nothing physical. … That’s honestly all that happened,” Irvin added. “Nobody was in my room. It was a 45-second conversation in the lobby, a handshake and we left. … I don’t know. I don’t know what this is, and it’s running me crazy.”

NFL Media was the group that ultimately decided to pull Irvin from his Super Bowl coverage on Sunday.

NFL Network spokesman Alex Riethmiller said about Irvin…

“Michael Irvin will not be part of NFL Network’s Super Bowl LVII week coverage,”

The Hall of Famer joined 105.3 The Fan to discuss the matter. See a clip of that interview below…

How could the NFL punish Irvin with no proof that he did anything wrong? For a man that has dedicated so much of his time promoting the NFL, this is a tremendous wrong.

If they have proof that he did anything wrong, lets see it. If not, there is absolutely no justification for this cancellation.

  1. How could the NFL punish Irvin with no proof that he did anything wrong?

Get with it – this is the world we live in….. it’s called CANCEL CULTURE.

    • That was a joke the second it was put on paper. And at the very least by the time medoa started reporting arrest. Once reported you are guilty by public opinion no matter what. Even if by some chance you prove your innocent.

  2. The guy is getting the wrong end of this deal. He hasn’t had the opportunity to defend himself cause they won’t tell him why he was removed. This is wrong on so many levels.

  3. I mean I’m not a big Irvin fan but I don’t get this whole thing. You have no police report only some bs and NFL Media doesn’t stand behind Irvin? Wtf that’s sorry ! If I was Michael I would ve done for good .

  4. Well for one he is not a player, if he was it would be under the radar until next year. Second he is black. Third I’m sure it’s a white rich republican female who doesn’t like him.

    • Beings you brought race into this I would ask how that is even relevant when the other side is killing each other more than “rich white women” are.

    • Republican, what? Dude you biased racist prople are the problem. You cannot have a conversation without throwing race and politics into your babel. I know you think your woke but you need to wake up!

  5. What did the woman say he did? What could be THAT BAD?! I don’t understand them reacting this way.
He’s being punished and doesn’t even know what he did.
When are we going to get the whole story?

  6. Purely speculation, but it appears Irvin made a proposal, the female took a pass, and Michael fumbled away two opportunities at a possible score. That’s the Cowboy’s for ya’!
