When Rosanne Cash stepped upon the stage at the 1996 Kennedy Center Honors with the words “my father is a man of many paradoxes,” you just knew that this was going to be a performance that no one will soon forget.

Cash was being honored at the event for his lifetime contributions in the performing arts and American culture as a whole, and sat back and watched some of the biggest names in country music pay homage to him via a medley of his much loved hits. Everyone from Kris Kristofferson to Lyle Lovett to Emmylou Harris was on hand along with Rosanne Cash to pay tribute to the music icon.

Now nine years later, Rosanne Cash will return to a grand stage alongside Kristofferson, who will be recognized at the upcoming American Eagle Awards presentation on July 11 in Nashville during the annual NAMM convention. Cash joins a stellar group of talented musicians that will be on hand to honor the honorees, which also include Charley Pride and Jim Lauderdale, along with music management icon Jim Halsey and country music producer/director Sherman Halsey.
