- He was aboard a “single-engine Cirrus SR22T aircraft that had departed from John C. Tune Airport in Nashville.”
- The plane crashed in an open field near “Iotla Valley Elementary School, in Franklin, NC.”
- Also, all three occupants of the plane were killed in the crash.
Flight records indicate that the flight was registered to James, under his real name, Brett Cornelius. No one at the elementary school was harmed in the crash.
