Yesterday Johnny Depp was awarded $8.35 million in his defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard, and now rumors are being reported that he’s been cast to play a role in Beetlejuice 2 alongside Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder.
The rumors started after Depp’s name was reportedly seen on a call sheet circulating on Google. However, there has been no official announcement, there’s no known role attached to him at this point, and the current Beetlejuice 2 IMDb page doesn’t list his name among the cast.
Beetlejuice 2 is reportedly in the works at Warner Bros. and is currently eyeing a 2025 release date. And while it’s yet to be officially confirmed, the newly updated, in-depth IMDb synopsis offers a storyline for the sequel.
Beetlejuice, Tim Burton’s horror-comedy, was released in 1988. Burton partnered with Johnny Depp in Edward Scissorhands in 1990. If the rumors are true, Beetlejuice 2 will be Depp’s ninth collaboration with Burton.
Beetlejuice 2‘s past is checkered with numerous attempts to produce a sequel. It was originally formed under the title of Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian with Jonathan Gems as writer in 1990, the sequel has continuously failed to materialize decades later.
Currently, Seth Grahame-Smith is tasked to write and produce Beetlejuice 2, with Michael Keaton and Depp’s ex girlfriend, Winona Ryder, confirmed to be returning to the project.
Heard, meanwhile, is slated to appear in two films: Run Away With Me and In the Fire.
In the Fire is set in the 1890s. Heard plays an New York psychiatrist who visits a Colombian plantation to “care for a disturbed boy.” While treating the child, she sparks tension with a priest who believes the boy is possessed.
According to IMDb, Run Away With Me follows an American in Paris who falls hopelessly in love with a model before the couple discovers the “criminal underworld” of the modeling industry in Europe.

Well whoever is going to have Amber Turd in there movies is going to lose a lot of money. I personally will never watch anything she is in or has to do with. Will not watch a movie that Heard is in ever. I will see everything that features Depp but will boycott Disney for removing Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean before hearing the American verdict.
