What’s the secret to Drew Barrymore and Justin Long’s “exciting” on-again, off-again romantic-relationship/friendship?

Drew Barrymore disclosed the details on her titular talk show. First, though, she said she didn’t think her relationship with Long (which is currently at friend level) is actually all that exciting.
Barrymore walked down memory lane during her A Little Bit Extra segment with comedian Mike Birbiglia about their time filming the comedy Going the Distance together. The 2010 comedy still starred Drew Barrymore and Justin Long, along with Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, and Christina Applegate.
Then Birbiglia added that it must have been be a “weird life existence” for Barrymore and Long.
But then, a few moments later on The Drew Barrymore Show, she agreed.
“It’s weird! I didn’t get why we were ever an interesting couple, like that didn’t make any sense to me,” the talk show host and actor said. “We’re not exciting.”
Drew Barrymore Reflects On Dating Justin Long
While discussing reflection Long, Barrymore added some kind words about her friend.
“We dated for many years. I was very much in love with Justin. You know why?” Because he’s funny.”
“You want to know why he gets all the ladies?” Barrymore asked, directing this question toward the audience. Apparently it occurred to her all the different directions that question could take people, because she laughed and added somewhat archly, “Well, there’s a few reasons, but the comedy is definitely [one of them].
Added added: “He is one of the sharpest, wittiest [people]. He’s brilliant, and he’ll just knock your socks off with laughter.”
Long is currently dating Kate Bosworth, according to Suggest.com.
