“I just signed a contract so I’ll be here for a while,” she told People back in June. “I have no plans to retire.”

Behar has been on for nearly a decade after getting fired from the show. Yes, she was fired in 2013. As one of the original panelists from 1997, sh’se admittedly OK with it, too. But she was brought back in 2015.

“I was glad to be fired,” she told Time. “I basically was sick of the show at that point for some reason, I don’t even remember why.”

She did indicate she was a bit annoyed by the entire decision.

“We still don’t know why they dumped me,” she told People. “They still don’t know why I was sacked? That was very stupid of them. But they learned their lesson.”

Behar has come a long way in show business, starting as a receptionist at Good Morning America in the early 1980s. She also did standup comedy at the time, eventually working her way into a role as host for a few variety shows on Lifetime. She then appeared on several HBO comedy specials.

But it’s The View that has made her a household name, and from the sounds of things, she has no plans to hang ’em up anytime soon.
