Long Time Friends

America’s most beautiful blonde bombshell, Dolly Parton, did an interview with People where she shared fond memories of Rodgers. “I miss him so much,” she shared.

Parton reminisced on a duet that she and Rogers used to sing together, “Islands In The Stream.”

“I would always lighten up when that particular song was due in the setlist. It just always made everybody feel so good in the audience and the audience always loved singing it. I never got tired of Kenny’s voice,” she said. The song hit no. 1 on the pop charts in 1983.

Lately, Parton has been working on a new album with icons like Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, and Elton John. She has also teased a gospel album with acclaimed and revered singer Dionne Warwick.

Dolly regards her dear friend with gentle fondness. “He’s up there singing,” she shared with People, “I know that.”

  1. Woopeee🤔🙄😒 I met him ONCE & he was basically a JERK to up&coming music hopefuls😡

I basically cannot type what obscenities he initially addressed to the circuit of people…but he blamed it on our promoter🙄😒

I loudly said (out of turn) we were all pretty much fans of his for ages & bought his records.
He replied snidely: “Thanks for buying them.” without even looking in my direction.

I replied that it was no big deal because “I got ’em USED for 50 cents from some old ladies at a yard sale”…& left the venue.
People like THAT are NOT worth my time.

    A nice guy, however…is Wayne Newton🎶😎
