Joshua Duggar was sentenced to just over 12 years in prison for his crimes. He began serving his time in May 2022. Since then, we haven’t heard much about his prison life, but in recent events, it seems as if Duggar has been caught with contraband: a cell phone.

Crimes Uncovered

This isn’t the first time that Duggar has created issues around following the legal ramifications and parameters of his crimes.

When Josh was released on bond after his April 2021 arrest, he was ordered not to come in contact with any children that were not his own. He was also barred from accessing the internet. In February 2022, he was pictured in wedding photos with minors that were not his own children. Spectators also believe that he was accessing the internet while out on bail.

Unadjusted

Recent reports have come in from publications like The U.S. Sun stating that Joshua has been transferred into FCI Seogoville’s solitary confinement facility for being caught with the phone.

The Sun has also reported that Duggar has further complicated his life behind bars by refusing to follow the rules. This information was received from an undisclosed source that has familial ties with another inmate in the facility.

His lawyers are currently in court trying to appeal the guilty verdict. Their initial defense was that Duggar was framed in some way; that a third party planted the sexually abusive material on his devices, but that was debunked during the trial. Details have not been shared about how Josh’s lawyers plan to structure their grounds for appeal.
