Prince Charles will not be seeing daughter-in-law Meghan Markle at his coronation on May 6.

Yesterday, Buckingham Palace issued an official statement announcing that Prince Harry would be present at Westminster Abbey for the ceremony, but that his wife and kids would stay behind in California.
“The King is happy that Harry, his son, who he calls his ‘darling boy’ will be at the Abbey,” a source told The Sun, “He wanted him there. It is sad, he is very disappointed that he won’t see Meghan or his grandchildren but understands the situation.”
The date of the coronation happens to be the same day as Prince Archie’s 4th birthday. Neither Archie nor his baby sister, Lilibet, were invited to attend the lengthy ceremony, as they are too young.
According to the Daily Mail, the Sussexes did not immediately reply to their invitations. Prince Harry reportedly asked a lot of questions about the event before accepting, in what sources have called a game of “transatlantic ping pong.”
While Prince Charles’s younger son will be at the Abbey for his father’s coronation, he has not been given an official role in the ceremony. He is also not expected to appear on the balcony with the King and Queen.
Some Royal Family Members Are Relieved By Meghan’s Choice
Charles III may be saddened by Meghan Markle‘s absence, but other members of the royal family are relieved, the Daily Mail tells us. Some anticipate that Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, will be especially pleased not to see the Duchess of Sussex at the historic event.
Regardless of the guest list, the coronation itself promises to be an impressive affair. Organizers confirmed to The Sun that it would be an occasion to remember, stating that it will “knock your socks off.” Prince Charles has apparently participated a great deal in its planning.
Harry will attend the coronation and go back to California and throw the RF under the bus again to keep the story going.. he’ll be calling Megan everyday to update how his being treated with cold shoulder from the family…they’ll keep thrashing the firm because that’s the only way they can make $.
