Priscilla Presley made her first appearance on the red carpet since the passing of her daughter, Lisa Marie, in January. She attended the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix’s new animated series, Agent Elvis, while being in the midst of a legal dispute with her granddaughter, Riley Keough, over the trust of the late singer and actress. The 77-year-old actress and former wife of Elvis Presley looked stylish in a black and white suit as she posed for photos at the event.

Agent Elvis is a fictional series that features Matthew McConaughey voicing the character of Elvis, who is both a famous musician and a secret government agent. Priscilla produced the show alongside John Eddie and even voiced a fictionalized version of herself in the series.

Speaking to the audience at the event, Priscilla explained why McConaughey was the perfeect choice to play her late ex-husband. “Obviously he has a great voice,” Priscilla stated. “He has that Southern voice. A deep voice.”

Priscilla revealed that while other actors were discussed during the casting process, producers kept coming back to the Dazed and Confused star. “He’s such a professional and he would do a great job speaking for Elvis,” she went on to add. “He has a Southern drawl, and Elvis did too in many ways.”

Priscilla and Riley are currently in disagreement over Lisa Marie’s trust. Shortly after Lisa Marie’s memorial on January 22, Priscilla’s lawyers filed a petition questioning the legitimacy of a 2016 amendment to Lisa Marie’s living trust.

This amendment removed Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s former business manager Barry Siegel as cotrustees and gave control of the trust – which includes the Graceland mansion and a 15 percent stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE), with a reported income of $110 million in 2022 – to Riley and Lisa Marie’s late son, Benjamin Keough, who passed away by suicide at the age of 27 in 2020.

Priscilla claims that she was unaware of the 2016 amendment until after Lisa Marie’s death, and she is arguing that it should be considered void for several reasons, including the fact that Lisa Marie did not inform her of the changes as required by the terms of the trust.

A friend of Lisa Marie went on to tell People “there’s zero question” and “Lisa wanted Riley and Ben to be the trustees” as well as her twin daughters.

Riley and Priscilla are reportedly barely speaking, with the source saying “They do not see eye to eye.”
