In a recent episode of Steven Bartlett’s “The Diary of a CEO” podcast, Seth Rogen shared that he and his wife, Lauren Miller, have found the secret to happiness in their relationship and lives. What is that secret? The decision to not have kids.

The topic of parenthood, or the absence of it rather say, came up during their conversation. “That has helped me succeed as well, definitely,” Rogen stated. According to the comedian, not having children has allowed him to channel his time and energy into his career and other creative pursuits. He stated that by choosing not to raise children, he has freed up a significant amount of time and resources.
Rogen did acknowledge that some people have suggested that he and Miller would be happier if they had children, but he always brushes off the comments. He explained that he and his wife have made a conscious decision not to have children, and they are happy with their choice.
“That Has Helped Me Succeed”
“Some people want kids. Some people don’t want kids,” Rogen stated. “Honestly, you just are told, you go through life, you get married, you have kids. That’s what happens. And me and my wife, neither of us were like that. Honestly, the older we get, the more happy and reaffirmed we are with our choice to not have kids.”
For the couple, who first began dating back in 2004 and tied the knot in 2011, the decision has allowed them to “do whatever we want.”
“We are in the prime of our lives,” he said laughing. “We are smarter than we’ve ever been, we understand ourselves more than we ever have, we have the capacity to achieve a level of work and a level of communication and care for one another, and a lifestyle we can live with one another, that we’ve never been able to live before.”
“Me and my wife seem to get a lot more active enjoyment out of not having kids than anyone I know seems to get out of having kids.”
