But it’s something else when those scary moments happen in real life.

According to Missouri officials, two people were injured when one of the iconic TV vehicles was involved in a single-car crash in the southern part of the state. Officials have not revealed how the accident occurred, only that two occupants were hospitalized. Their conditions are unknown.

‘Dukes of Hazzard’ Car Down!

The General Lee car was made famous for being driven by the characters Bo Duke and Luke Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard. It was one of the hundreds used in the show that aired from 1979-85, but only 17 survived, given that many suffered damage during production, per the Kansas City Star.

In all, more than 300 cars were made for both the show and the movie of the same name, the Western Taney County Fire Protection District said in a Facebook post.

Another General Lee car was damaged after a tree fell on it outside the home of series star John Schneider as a result of Hurricane Ida in 2021.

“So… what’s your caption? Here’s mine: ‘Miss Ida stopped by to see the General at Miss Shirley’s last night,’” Schneider wrote in a Facebook post at the time of the mishap.
