Well, how about a bear who goes on a murderous rampage?

That’s the premise behind Cocaine Bear, set to hit theaters on Feb. 24. It’s about a bear, who gets into some coke, then starts killing people. Sort of like Jaws on steroids.

Now, before you start rolling your eyes, know that Cocaine Bear is actually based on a true story. Or to be more accurate, loosely based. Back in the 1980s, a bear got into some cocaine being used by campers in Georgia. It is not believed that bear went on a killing spree.

But just imagine if it did. That is where Hollywood comes in.

Cocaine Bear

Based on the trailer, the movie looks to fall somewhere between horror, suspense slapstick and dark comedy. It’s hard to tell. What we do know is it features the late Ray Liotta, as well as other known actors such as Keri Russell, Margo Martindale, Matthew Rhys and O’Shea Jackson Jr.

The film is directed by Elizabeth Banks, widely known for her acting role in the Hunger Games franchise. She recently moved into the director’s chair, and Cocaine Bear looks like the type o flick that could develop a cult following.

It’s been a while since we’ve had one of those, so in that sense, it may be worth checking out. If nothing else, it shows that cola is the only Coke a bear should go near.
