Amber Heard Spared No Words Refuting Kate Moss’ Testimony

Kate Moss, super model and former romantic interest of Johnny Depp, took the stand in the defamation case between Deep and his ex-wife, Amber Heard. She flatly denied the allegations and implications that Depp had pushed her down the steps. It was a boon to the case for Depp.

It was also a point that Heard had to address when she was able to get back onto the stand as a rebuttal witness. She all but said that Moss was a liar.

“I know how many people will come out of the woodwork to be in support of Johnny. It is clear by this courtroom how many people will do that,” Heard said from the stand.

“Everybody who was around in the ’90s and the early aughts knew that rumor. I had heard that rumor from multiple people. Of course that’s what flashed through my head when my violent husband not only swung for me but all of a sudden swung for my sister,” she added. “Of course I thought of that.”

The situation in question was rumors of Depp pushing Moss down a flight of stairs during a vacation in Jamaica. Moss’ account was different from the story that Heard had recounted.

“We were leaving the room and Johnny left the room before I did, and there had been a rainstorm,” Moss testified. “As I left the room, I slid down the stairs and I hurt my back. I screamed because I didn’t know what had happened to me and I was in pain. He (Depp) came running back to help me, and carried me to my room, and got me medical attention.”

Moss made it very clear when asked by Depp’s attorney, Ben Chew, if Depp had ever ‘pushed her down the stairs’ at any point during their relationship:

“No, he never pushed me, kicked me or pushed me down any stairs,” Moss said.

Heard added that she knew Moss would appear to defend Depp, but that did not mean she was being honest. Heard also said that even if Moss’ version was true, the decades-old rumor still played a role in her mindset when a seemingly similar situation presented itself.

“I did not expect her to show up or not expect her to show up. It didn’t matter,” Heard said. “It doesn’t change what I believed at the time, when we were on the stairs and I thought he was gonna kill my sister by pushing her down the stairs.”

Heard also told the court that she threw a can of Red Bull at Depp, which struck him in the back and angered him to the point of retaliation. She said he followed her up the staircase, and that her sister intervened when Depp’s emotion overcame him.

“[Whitney’s] back was to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her,” Heard said. “I don’t hesitate, I don’t wait. I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs.”

Heard then said that she made her first connect on a punch. Also admitting that she had tried to hit him before.

“In all of my relationship to date with Johnny, I hadn’t landed a blow,” she said. “And I, for the first time, hit him – like, actually hit him. Square in the face.”

The closing arguments are being made on Friday with jury deliberation expected after. A recent ruling by the judge may shift the outcome.
