The official first day of fall is still several weeks away, but for some Starbucks customers, it’s already begun.

For Starbucks, the official changing of the seasons actually takes place Tuesday with the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte. The recipe for the fan favorite drink includes steamed milk, clove, nutmeg, espresso, and pumpkin-favored sauce. It’s then topped with pumpkin pie spice and whipped cream.
But that’s not all.
Starbucks will also introduce a revamped Apple Crisp Macchiato, and few things scream autumn as much as “apple crisp.” The new drink is made with creamy oat milk and espresso. It includes cinnamon, apple, and brown sugar flavoring topped with a spiced apple drizzle.
Of course, none of this will come cheap. As CNN relayed, the cost of Pumpkin Spice Latte’s is up 4 percent in several locations . The grande-size went from $5.45 last year to $5.95 in 2022.
Pumpkin Spice Returns
Either way, Starbucks and its social media following often refer to the Pumpkin Space Latte as “PSL.” This makes it seem like a secret club, if you ask me. The coffee chain’s seasonal beverage was first launched in 2003. For all the hype, it has also spurned talk of whether we are suckered into celebrating the arrival of fall a little too early.
“In addition to pumpkin flavors, Starbucks is bringing back its Apple Crisp Macchiato and its Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, the latter being a new tweak to the 1-year-old drink because it’s now made with the dairy-alternative milk,” CNN wrote.
Also Tuesday, Starbucks will bring back the Pumpkin Cold Brew. The fairly popular iced drink introduced in 2009 features pumpkin cream cold foam and pumpkin spice. The cold brew is sweetened with vanilla syrup and is topped with pumpkin cream foam and a dust of pumpkin spice.
