That’s because Hostin has agreed to a new two-year, multimillion -dollar deal to remain on as one of the co-hosts, as relayed by Variety. It will take her through the 28th season of the ABC daytime talk show, which she hosts along with Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sara Haines. All of those names will return next season as well.

While Variety apparently reached out, ABC declined comment on Hostin’s new deal.

She has been a co-host on the program since 2016, and also regularly appears on other ABC specials. She gained fame in Soul of a Nation, and news programs 20/20, Good Morning America and Nightline.

Per Variety:

“A lawyer, author, journalist and television personality, Hostin joined ABC News as a legal correspondent and analyst in 2016; a few months before she was named co-host on “The View.”

Prior to ABC, her television career began with frequent appearances on Court TV, Fox News and CNN. Last year, she launched her own media company, Sunny Hostin Productions, which is focused on social justice issues and inclusive storytelling.”

The View Is Not Done Yet

The View is also expected to bring on Alyssa Farah Griffin as a co-host next season, which begins next month. Farah Griffin will replace  Meghan McCain, who left the show in 2021.
