Andrew Walker Inks New Multi-Film Deal with Hallmark

Andrew Walker has starred in almost two dozen films between Hallmark Channel and its sister network, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Last week he re-upped on a multi-picture deal with Crown Media, the networks’ parent company, and will be making Hallmark movies for years to come

Walker has starred in six Hallmark Channel movies, including Bottled with Love, Love Struck Cafe and The 27-Hour Day, A Bride for Christmas and Christmas Tree Lane.

“I’m humbled and grateful to have been a part of the Hallmark family for a decade now,” Walker said. “I love diving into each character, to create quality films with positive content that make people feel good. The impact this network is making on its viewers is infectious and I’m thrilled to be continuing our collaboration.”

Lisa Hamilton Daly, executive vice president of programming for Crown Media Family Networks says Andrew has become a vital part of the company’s brand.

“Andrew has a special talent and charm that shines through in every role,” Daly said. “He’s become a favorite among our viewers for good reason. We couldn’t be happier to continue our partnership with Andrew and can’t wait to see him in his next role.”

The news follows up on two other Hallmark drops this week.

Earlier, Candace Cameron Bure announced that she was, essentially, leaving the network by signing a new deal with GAC Media.

Bure said she was ready to branch away from Hallmark and focus her professional life more on Christianity.

“I’m very excited to develop heartwarming family and faith-filled programming and make the kind of stories my family and I love to watch,” she said on Tuesday. “I am constantly looking for ways that I can inspire people to live life with purpose. GAC fits my brand perfectly. We share a vision of creating compelling wholesome content for an audience who wants to watch programming for and with the whole family.”

Taylor Cole made the opposite decision, inking a new deal with Hallmark.

“I am beyond excited for what is in store next,” Cole said. “Being able to continue creating such amazing stories is something that I hold near and dear to me. I am forever grateful for the work I get to do with Hallmark.”
