Priscilla and Elvis Presley had quite a whirlwind romance despite their age gap. The couple was married for a total of 6 years before they announced their divorce to the world. Their relationship and marriage have been the subject of numerous stories, and now, according to a friend, Priscilla wasn’t intended to keep Elvis’s last name after their divorce.

Sonny West, Elvis’s long-time friend and bodyguard, revealed the shocking details, according to Do You Remember. “Over the years, Priscilla has gone to great lengths spinning the fiction that theirs was a fairy-tale romance. If that was so, it ended very quickly, and fairy tales are supposed to be forever. Their marriage lasted but six years,” he stated.
West also accused Priscilla of retaining the Presley name after the divorce for the sake of fame, claiming that she wasn’t legally entitled to do so.
Riley Keough Speaks on Priscilla Being Out of Graceland
Over the years, Priscilla has denied all of the allegations saying she wasn’t allowed to keep the name. Prior to being a Presley, Priscilla’s birth name was Priscilla Wagner, which she changed to Beaulieu after her stepfather. She went on to change her name back to her maiden name after the divorce but changed it back to Presley after Elvis’s death. West further alleged that Priscilla refers to herself as a widow, despite the fact that they were divorced four years prior to Elvis’s death.
Priscilla has been making waves online after her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, passed away. Priscilla and her granddaughter Riley Keough, are reportedly not talking as she is in the middle of a legal dispute with her over the trust of the late singer and actress.
Following Lisa Marie’s memorial on January 22, Priscilla’s lawyers filed a petition contesting the legitimacy of a 2016 amendment made to Lisa Marie’s living trust. This amendment removed Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s former business manager Barry Siegel as cotrustees, and granted control of the trust – which includes assets such as the Graceland mansion and a 15 percent stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE) with an estimated income of $110 million in 2022 – to Riley and Lisa Marie’s late son, Benjamin Keough, who tragically passed away by suicide at the age of 27 in 2020.
Priscilla alleges that she was not aware of the 2016 amendment until after Lisa Marie’s death, and she is arguing that it should be deemed void for various reasons, including the fact that Lisa Marie did not fulfill the requirement to inform her of the changes as mandated by the terms of the trust.
