Well, let’s just say the US general overseeing North American airspace isn’t ruling it out after the military shot down three unidentified flying objects in three days.

“I’ll let the intel community and the counterintelligence community figure that out,” Gen. Glen VanHerck told the media. “I haven’t ruled out anything.”

VanHerck made his comments after it was revealed that a F-16 fighter jet had shot down a strange octagonal-shaped object over Lake Huron near the US-Canada border. The military had yet to retrieve it or learn about its origin.

The three flying objects were blown out of the sky during a month that started with a Chinese balloon being shot down on Feb. 4. The US said that one was being used for surveillance.

As for the other three, well, it remains a mystery, it seems.

“At this point we continue to assess every threat or potential threat, unknown, that approaches North America with an attempt to identify it,” VanHerck said.

That said, another US defense official indicated there’s nothing to suggest that the three UFO’s are extraterrestrial in origin, per the New York Post. Still, the military has yet to give an update on where they may have come from, or if they’re connected.

All we seem to know is they aren’t related to the Chinese balloon.

“We’re calling them objects, not balloons, for a reason,” VanHerck said.

As a related aside, the most recent incidents “come as the Pentagon has undertaken a new push in recent years to investigate military sightings of UFOs — rebranded in official government parlance as ‘unidentified aerial phenomena’ or UAPs,” the Post pointed out.

That included a report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence last month that cited 366 flying objects that have been identified as aerial clutter, balloons, or drones. But 177 of those listed in the report have not been identified.
