Pete Davidson Has One Major Unfulfilled Goal: Becoming a Dad

Is Pete Davidson really ready to be a dad?

At 28 years old, Pete Davidson has experienced nearly all forms of success. The Staten Island stand-up-turned-SNL-breakout star now acts in feature-length films and dates — quite seriously — international sex symbol Kim Kardashian. But there’s one goal that Davidson still has not achieved: becoming a dad.

Pete Davidson recently discussed the desire with Kevin Hart on his talk show Hart to Hart, the second season of which premieres today on Peacock. A clip teasing the conversation quickly went viral as the world wonders if (when?!) Pete will join the ever-growing Kardashian clan.

Pete Davidson’s Own Childhood

During the talk with Kevin Hart, Pete Davidson refers to his own childhood, bluntly, as “not great.” His father, a New York firefighter, died on 9/11, which left Davidson’s single mother alone raising two kids. Although he discusses some of the details with Hart, if you’re interested in a deeper look at the Davidson house, check out King of Staten Island, the 2020 film based on Davidson’s own coming-of-age. It’s a masterpiece.

Despite those challenges, though, Davidson describes himself as a “family guy.” Quite famously, he remained living in his mom’s basement until 2021, years after making it big on Saturday Night Live. And perhaps Davidson is thinking of expanding that family. He told Hart: “My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve is, I wanna have a kid. That’s, like, my dream… It’s, like, super corny, but it … would be so fun to dress up the little dude.”

He added that he’s “so excited for that chapter… That’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now, is just trying to be as good as a dude and develop and get better so when that happens it’s just easier.”

This is not the first time fans are left wondering about a possible Pete-Kim baby.

A Kardashian Baby?

Children are now core to the Kardashian brand. Kim, arguably the leading Kardashian star, has centered motherhood within her public persona and currently shares four children with her ex Kanye West: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm. Two youngest two were born via surrogacy.

Her sister Khloe Kardashian has one child, True Thompson, who features prominently in her mother’s Instagram and brand sponsorships, including a recent TV commercial for Nurtec.

Kourtney Kardashian has three children with ex Scott Disick, Mason, Penelope, and Reign, all of whom appeared often throughout Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Half-sister Kylie Jenner, who is just 24 years old, now has two babies with rapper Travis Scott.

Of the core Kardashian-Jenner TV show crew, only Kendall Jenner has no kids. So, it’s really no surprise that everyone is speculating some big news coming from Pete and Kim. Davidson plays a large role in the new season of The Kardashians on Hulu, and appears closer to the family everyday. After six months of dating, he was introduced to Kims’ kids and recently, was photographed riding a golf cart with eldest North West.
